Background information on the Passenger Advisory Council of the City of Aachen
The Passenger Advisory Council represents the interests of the various passenger groups vis-à-vis ASEAG, the Aachener Verkehrsverbund and the city administration. The Passenger Advisory Council is intended to help improve customer satisfaction with public transport and create a positive public image. The 15 members of the Passenger Advisory Council represent the passengers in the city of Aachen. They are independent, honorary members who represent a representative cross-section of all passengers.
The members of the Passenger Advisory Council pool suggestions, requests and criticism from passengers and bring such issues to the Passenger Advisory Council. The Passenger Advisory Board is also consulted on customer-relevant public transport measures. The committee does not make any binding decisions but has an advisory function.
The formation of a passenger advisory board for the city of Aachen goes back to a council motion from 2018. The mobility committee of the city of Aachen unanimously decided to establish it.
