On secret routes through Aachen
To get from A to B in Aachen, cyclists do not need to use the main roads. There are many routes that can be taken away from the busy roads.
"Schleichwegen durch Aachen" is part of the"FahrRad in Aachen" campaign of the city of Aachen, which encourages cyclists to cycle through the city away from the main roads. Quiet routes away from car traffic are presented, making it possible to explore Aachen by bike in a relaxed yet interesting way. This is particularly important for insecure cyclists who are not (yet) confident enough to cycle in Aachen.
There are two guided bike tours that are specially tailored to the slow lanes.
- September 17, 6 to 6:45 p.m., Schleichweg I, meeting point: Elisenbrunnen
- September 17, 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., Schleichweg II, meeting point: Elisenbrunnen
The tours are part of the European Mobility Week, which takes place annually from September 16 to 22.
