Aachen cycling summer

With the Aachen Bicycle Summer, the city of Aachen wants to make the urban route network even better known and promote the use of bicycles as a means of leisure transportation and thus also local tourism. The idea is that those who use their bikes for leisure may also be encouraged to use them more often in everyday life, thereby making cycling more popular as a means of transport.

Every year, a different themed circular tour is signposted and presented and described in a flyer. In addition, the city offers guided cycle tours, cycle action days and an overview of the cycle tourism program of all Aachen cycling clubs, the ADFC and other organizers. Since the first event in 1995, the Aachen Cycling Summer has developed into a traditional event and is established as an annual recurring event.

2025: Cycling summer - cycling through natural monuments

In 2025, the Aachen Cycling Summer will take place for the 31st time. The main tour is around 31.4 kilometers long and leads to various natural monuments in Aachen. There is also a shorter circular route of 23.2 kilometers. The circular routes are signposted until the fall.
