Starting at 3 p.m., young musicians from the music school will be out and about in the neighborhood. With pop-up concerts on streets and in public squares, as well as at social service facilities, they’ll bring music and cultural life to public spaces.
At the bona fide senior living community, the music school’s children’s choir will present a musical program. The GO guitar orchestra will perform at the AWO Community Center in Aachen-Nord, while the keyboard department will welcome visitors to the Carolus Thermen with music. At the same time, WindEnergie Junior will provide musical surprises with their wind instruments at various locations in Aachen-Nord.
At 4 p.m., the Institut für die Europäische Stadt e. V. invites you to a pop-up reading on the Children’s Rights Square in front of the Depot, adding a literary touch to the musical discoveries.
Colorful arrows wind their way through the neighborhood, marking the musical path of the quarter-tones. They connect the various concert venues, spark curiosity about the events taking place in the neighborhood, and invite visitors to follow the sounds all the way to the grand finale at the Depot.
The event will conclude at 5 p.m. with a concert by the WindEnergie symphonic wind orchestra. Weather permitting, the concert will take place on the Children’s Rights Square in front of the Depot.
Everyone is warmly invited to stroll through the neighborhood, follow the arrows, listen to the sounds, and enjoy the rest of the afternoon together.
