The Jazzotic Big Band of the Aachen Music School was founded 40 years ago. Since then, it has been delighting audiences far beyond the region—and will celebrate this anniversary on September 24, 2026, with an extraordinary concert at the Saalbau Rothe Erde.
Simon Oslender returns to Aachen as a guest soloist. The Grammy-nominated pianist and keyboardist is now considered one of Europe’s most exciting jazz musicians. His musical career, however, began right here—at the Aachen City Music School. From elementary music education to drum lessons, his path led him to international concert stages.
Together with the Jazzotic Big Band, led by Andi Plum, he presents a rousing program featuring music by Sammy Nestico, Peter Herbolzheimer, Gordon Goodwin, and Pat Metheny, as well as his own compositions.
WHEN: Thursday, September 24, at 8:00 p.m. (Doors open at 7:30 p.m.)
WHERE: Saalbau Rothe Erde, Aachen
Admission is free. Donations to support the music school's booster club are appreciated.
Mark your calendars now—this anniversary celebration promises to be an extraordinary evening of music!
