Haus der Neugier GmbH invited agencies in Aachen 2025 to take part in a competition to explore the House of Curiosity being built in the building. They were looking for creative agencies that were keen to "help build" the planned House of Curiosity: by drawing the attention of passers-by to what the future will bring for this building on the shop windows. We were looking for emotions, a spirit of optimism and anticipation for an open house in the middle of the city that will invite everyone in Aachen to visit and discover it from 2029.
The best three proposals are now to be found on the shop windows after being awarded prizes by a jury with participants from politics, retail, FH Aachen and administration. The agencies neomesh, Power+Radach and yella park each play with the meaning of the term "curiosity" in their very own way and amaze with a surprising look at this deeply human characteristic.
And they invite you to become active yourself. From a simple look through peepholes to an invitation to tell in a few words what moves the viewer to a competition in search of hidden transmitters. The prizes have been provided by the local shops, city library, adult education center and cultural institutions. The upgrading of the property goes even further. In the short term, Haus der Neugier GmbH has had information about the Haus der Neugier put up on the wall at Bädersteig, i.e. in the direction of Dahmengraben. Another eye-catcher that will enhance the surroundings of the vacant building until construction work begins.
