06.03.2026: No more budget funds for promotion in 2026

On 03.03.2026, the Environment and Climate Committee recommended saving the budget funds for the funding program for energy-saving measures in buildings for 2026. The application process must therefore be closed. All applications received from 01.01.2026 onwards will not be processed.

Open applications received by 31.12.2025 can still be approved with budget funds from 2025 as long as sufficient remaining funds are available. Open applications from 2025 are currently still being processed and will receive a funding decision shortly if they are successful.
Funding that has already been approved from previous years will continue to be paid out once the measures have been completed and the required evidence has been checked.

Disbursement and conditions of the funding

On May 19, 2021, the Aachen City Council approved a funding program for energy-saving measures in residential buildings. Information on the amount of funding, requirements and evidence is available. Once the measures have been completed, payment can be applied for with the necessary evidence.
