The budget of the city of Aachen is still blocked. As a result, no municipal funding can currently be approved. It is unclear whether or when the lockdown will be lifted and therefore whether any funds will be available for the funding programs in 2026. News will follow here.
Solar support program
Funding for the solar subsidy program has been approved for 2026. However, the total budget has been reduced to one-third of its original amount. Applications already received will be processed and, if approved, will receive a notice of funding approval in a timely manner. New applications may still be submitted. These will be processed as long as sufficient remaining funds are available. Updates will be posted here.
Funding program for energy-saving measures in buildings
Open applications from 2025 are still being processed and approved funding will be paid out. However, the funding program will not be continued in 2026.
