Concept award Karl-Kuck-Straße
In order to prepare interested parties for the tender and to network projects and people with each other, the city's Coordination Office for Building and Living in Community has planned a small series of events on the most important issues relating to housing projects.
The kick-off will be an exchange and networking event on 29.10 at Mefferdatisstr. 14-18, 52062 Aachen. From 18:00-20:00, followed by a get-together for further discussions. Whether alone, in pairs or as an existing small group - everyone is cordially invited. Here you can collect ideas, find like-minded people and exchange initial contact details.
On 13.11.2025, everything will revolve around the topic of legal forms. Cooperative, rental housing project or the rental housing syndicate? There will be experts on site who can report on their experience with the respective legal form and answer questions about organization and living together.
On December 8, the series will end with a rather un-Christmassy but crucial topic: finances. How the financing of a joint construction project can succeed, what needs to be considered and what financial management is all about will be discussed in December.

Educational seminar "Shared living - the little 1x1"
March 01 - 06, 2026, at the trias Foundation in Hattingen/Ruhr
In this educational leave (optional educational leave can be requested for participation in the course), participants will learn about communal living in new and existing buildings. Topics such as the development, (housing) policy significance and effectiveness of this form of housing will be examined. The event will provide the initial tools needed to start a community housing project yourself: community, social and societal orientation, as well as good group processes, the choice of legal form, financing options and construction requirements. Good examples and inspiring ideas from housing projects in the Ruhr area will be visited on various excursions. In addition to inputs, exercises and the excursions, the group will take a look at existing structures and networks that are helpful when setting up a business. This seminar/educational vacation is a cooperation between the trias Foundation, a charitable foundation for soil, ecology and housing, and Arbeit und Leben NRW e.V.
Information on the seminar and how to register can be found in the flyer or at https://www.stiftung-trias.de/veranstaltungen or by contacting Ronja Bader, project management and coordination, e-mail: ronja.bader@stiftung-trias.de
The registration deadline is January 4, 2026 for all participants.
