"Aachen shows commitment" - A festival for the volunteers of our city

In bright early summer weather, everything revolved around living commitment: more than 130 stands invited visitors to join in, exchange ideas and discover. On two stages, a varied program provided entertainment, food for thought and moving insights into Aachen's diverse volunteering landscape.

Mayor Sibylle Keupen emphasized in her opening speech: "Today, our city park is showing its best side: as a living reflection of togetherness and voluntary commitment. I am delighted with the high level of participation and the positive energy. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this special day. You are committed day after day. You all show how colorful, diverse and committed our city is."

For young and old alike, the day was an unforgettable experience full of encounters, conversations and new connections. The relaxed atmosphere and mutual appreciation characterized the interaction - and made it clear: Aachen is a city of commitment.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the participants who made this day possible with their energy, creativity and commitment. They all show how diverse, colorful and energetic our city is.

In 2026, the motto will once again be 'Aachen shows commitment' - we look forward to seeing you again.
