In the Coronation Hall of Aachen Town Hall, 25 young volunteers from Aachen and the StädteRegion were awarded the Volunteer Scholarship.

With this joint funding program, the City of Aachen and the StädteRegion honor the special social commitment of young people and support them financially in their important work for the common good.
The scholarship holders each receive a grant of 1,200 euros. The funding is intended to benefit young people between the ages of 16 and 26 who are in school or vocational training and hold a key position in their club, association or comparable institution or are particularly committed to volunteering.
When selecting the scholarship holders, the degree of responsibility assumed, the amount of time spent on the commitment, the variety of activities and the respective social area played a decisive role.
