Aachen is easy to reach by train: You can find your connection on the Deutsche Bahn website.

Aachen main station can be reached by Thalys and ICE trains. The Aachen West and Aachen Schanz stations are close to the city center. You can also reach the east of the city via Aachen Rothe Erde station. The euregiobahn trains ensure that Aachen is easy to reach from the surrounding region. The Netherlands can also be reached quickly by train. Since 2019, the RE18 line has offered a direct connection from Aachen via Heerlen to Maastricht and back.

The city center is not far from the respective train stations and can be reached quickly by bus or, in some cases, on foot.

With the movA app, e-scooters, rental pedelecs and car-sharing vehicles can be used in Aachen in addition to buses and trains.

The Naveo appcan also be used to view connections and buy tickets.

By bus from Maastricht to Aachen

Line 350 commutes between Aachen and Maastricht. Tickets are available from the bus drivers, as well as from Deutsche Bahn and Arriva. Travel with the OV-Chipkaart is also possible. The bus stops at Elisenbrunnen, Central Station and Schanz.
