In future, vehicles may be parked for up to four hours in metered parking spaces in the city center and on the Alleenring in tariff zone 1. Previously, the maximum parking time was limited to one hour.

In the resident parking zones "W" and "BU 1", the maximum parking time will be completely abolished. In future, it will be possible to park there without time restrictions.

In September 2025, the Aachen City Council adopted the 9th amendment to the parking fee regulations. The change was published at the end of September.

The technical adjustments to the 165 parking ticket machines will begin on October 20. As not all machines can be converted at the same time, different tariff times are possible at individual parking ticket machines during the weeks of the conversion.

The new parking times will apply in the Easypark app for cell phone parking from October 20. From this day onwards, users will be able to conveniently book parking tickets with a duration of up to four hours - or without a time limit in the "W" and "BU 1" zones.

The parking fee will not change. The tariff in tariff zone 1 within and on the Alleenring for all public traffic areas remains at three euros for 60 minutes. The minimum parking time is 60 minutes.

In tariff zone 2 outside the avenue ring, you have to pay at least one euro. For this, the vehicle can be parked for 40 minutes.
