"Four in the Couven" with the Chapelle Quartet Aachen

The popular "Four at the Couven" series once again guarantees an exciting afternoon of concerts on Sunday, December 7, from 4 p.m. at the Couven Museum.

The Chapelle Quartet invites you to the last concert of this year's chamber music series "Vier im Couven" at the Couven Museum.

With Katharina Blasel, Giulia Ajmone-Marsan, Martin Hoffmann and Philipp Wenger, the afternoon concert begins at 4 pm.

The first half of the concert will feature Joseph Haydn's Quartet op. 76 No. 3, probably his most famous work, which is nicknamed the "Emperor Quartet" because of the variations on "Gott erhalt Franz den Kaiser".

After the interval, the four musicians will play Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Quartet op. 44 No. 1 in D major, a work from his mature period that Mendelssohn himself described as "grateful" to play and hear.
