The bridge in Schloss-Schönau-Park is dilapidated and needs to be renovated. The road maintenance and bridge construction department of Aachen's municipal services is therefore having the wooden railings and planks replaced.

To do this, the bridge must first be completely dismantled. It will then be reassembled on site. The work will begin on Wednesday, July 30 and is expected to be completed by the end of August. Visitors can choose an alternative footpath through the park during the work.
