The city of Aachen is awarding a commercial property in Eilendorf. The plot is 3,913 m² in size and is located on Neuenhofstrasse, just under 4 kilometers from Aachen city center.
The aim of the award is to round off the existing commercial area in the transition to the landscape towards Vennbahnweg and to develop it in line with architectural and open space planning requirements. Due to its location as the first, visible structure of the industrial estate coming from one of the main access roads, the Madrider Ring, the building plot is of urban planning significance: the aim is to create a design that characterizes the building as a 'gateway' to the industrial estate and at the same time enables a harmonious transition to the adjacent agricultural land.
The tender is aimed at companies from the skilled trades, manufacturing industry, the service sector or mixed forms. In the selection process, the interests of safeguarding the existence of local companies and creating new jobs are also taken into account. The focus is not on the price, but on the quality of the submitted concept.
The offer phase is designed for 3 months, including a four-week period at the beginning to clarify any questions that may arise.
Specific concept content will be agreed and negotiated with the applicants of the best-rated concept so that the process can be completed at the beginning of 2026 after final approval by the political bodies.
