There are 2 recycling centers in Aachen.

Waste that can be recycled
is called recyclable material.
Please bring recyclable materials to the recycling center.

You do not have to pay for this.

The Wert-Stoff-Mobil is a truck.
The truck drives to all parts of the city
and collects recyclable materials.

Bring the recyclables to the
holding point of the Wert-Stoff-Mobil.

What the Wert-Stoff-Mobil takes with it

• Plastic parts up to 50 centimeters long

The Wert-Stoff-Mobil does not take this with it

• Paper and cardboard
• Large electrical appliances
• Glass
• Waste from the kitchen and garden
• Residual waste
• Harmful substances

We sometimes throw things away
that are dangerous for the environment.
These things are called harmful substances.

Harmful substances are, for example

• Batteries
• Paint and varnish
• Energy-saving lamps
• Spray cans with paint

Please do not dispose of harmful substances
in the residual waste.

1. Take the hazardous materials to the Aachen-Eilendorf recycling center.
2. A truck drives to all parts of the city and picks up hazardous materials.

Glass packaging is

These are large bins.

The used glass container has round openings.
Each opening has a different colored edge.
These colors are available:

• green
• white
• brown.

There are bottles and jars
in different colors.
Please note:
Throw bottles and jars
into the appropriate opening.
For example, green bottles
into the green opening.

This does not belong in the bottle bank

Please do not throw these items into the waste glass container:

• Drinking glasses
• Deposit bottles
• Broken glass panes
• other things made of glass.

If there is no used glass container in your area:
You can also take glass packaging
to the recycling center.

There are waste collection dates in every part of Aachen.
The dates are listed in the waste calendar.
You will receive the waste calendar at the beginning of the year

• at the savings bank
• with the administration.
