Resident parking permit

Then you will receive your ID card:

• You live in a resident parking zone.
  And your car is registered with this address.

• You drive the car of your spouse
  or your child.
  Your spouse or child
  has the same address as you.

• You always drive a car
  from your employer.
  You are then said to drive a company vehicle.

• You are studying or doing an apprenticeship.
  You may be driving a car owned by your parents.
  Even if your parents do not live in
  the resident parking zone:
  You can get a resident parking permit.

There are also special cases.

If you are applying for the card for the first time
:
The card then costs €30.
The card is valid for 1 year.
If you need the card for longer :
The card costs €30 again for each year.

Attention:

The card is valid for 1 year.
You can apply for an extensionno earlier than 4 weeks before the end of

For example:
Your card is valid until April 30.
You can then apply from the beginning of April .

Sometimes something changes during the year.
For example:
You get a new car with a different license plate number.
Then you need a new resident parking permit.
You have to submit another application.

There are 2 possibilities:

1. The ID card should be valid for the same length of time
   as the old ID card.
   This ID card costs 10 euros.
2. The card is valid for 1 year .
   This card costs 30 euros.

• ...at the Citizen Service.

• Your identity card or passport
• the registration certificate of your car.
  This is also called the registration certificate part 1.

You are a student and no longer live with your parents.
But the car belongs to your parents.

This entitles you to travel by bus and train in Aachen.
Only then will you receive the
resident parking permit.
