The Aachen Pass

You will receive the Aachen Pass
if you

• Get basic security or
  citizen-money

• Get a child allowance supplement

• live in a residential home for
  people with disabilities

• are asylum seekers and do not work

• Get housing money

• Get economic youth aid

• pay no or less radio license fee .

Attention:
The Aachen Pass is then valid for all people

• who live in your household
• and belong to your family.

Everyone in the family gets their own Aachen Pass

In the past, people
automatically received their passports in the post.
This is no longer the case.
There is a new rule.

Today there are 2 options:

1. You receive money from the city of Aachen

If you receive money from the city of Aachen:
Then we will still send you the passport
automatically.
You don't have to do anything.

These are all people

• get the basic fuse
• who are asylum seekers and do not work
• receive economic youth aid

2. you get money from the job center

If you receive money from the Job Center:
Then you must submit an application.
All people must do this.

• who receive citizens' money
• Get a child allowance supplement
• live in a residential home for people with disabilities
• Get housing money
• pay no or less radio license fee.

You will need these documents for the application:

• Your identity card or passport.
• And you have to prove
  that you can get the Aachen-Pass.
  If you receive Bürger-Geld, for example:
  Then you need the notification from the Job-Center.

You do not need to fill out a form for the application.

You have these options:

Submit the application in writing.
Send the application by post to this address:

Make the application in person.
Go to Bürger-Service.
The offices of Bürger-Service
are in all parts of the city.
Or go to the department
Housing, Social Affairs and Integration.
Here is the address:
Hackländer Straße 1 in Aachen.
This is right next to the train station.
Remember the documents.

Submit the application
online via the service portal.
To do this, you must first register with the
service portal:
