RWTH Aachen - Campus: Architectural landmarks
In the middle of the 19th century, the administrative district of Aachen was one of the most industrialized regions in Germany. The opening of the main building on Templergraben in 1870 marked the beginning of RWTH's history as a part and driver of this region, which continues to shape its development to this day.
In keeping with this year's theme "VALUABLE monuments as part of our history and identity", the campus tour takes visitors to various RWTH facilities, each of which tells its own story from the past to the present. Numerous buildings that reflect the identity of RWTH will be highlighted on Open Monument Day.
Guided tours: 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
