B2Run Aachen
On April 28, the 12th edition of the B2Run Aachen will take place, traditionally opening the nationwide company running series. The run will take place around the CHIO grounds - one of the most attractive running routes in North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany. The B2Run Aachen is under the patronage of the newly elected Lord Mayor Dr. Michael Ziemons
Around 3200 participants took part in the B2Run in the border triangle last year. Employees from companies, associations and institutions of all sectors and sizes will once again demonstrate their sporting skills and, above all, their team spirit in the usual manner. Whether you're a "Ich-AG" or a DAX company, the size of the company or team doesn't matter when it's time to "get out of the office and into your running shoes". The approximately five-kilometre course is doable for everyone, especially beginners and (Nordic) walkers.
The B2Run not only focuses on sport, but also on the social component, such as strengthening team spirit through the shared running experience.
Charity starters at the B2Run 2026: The Menschen für Menschen foundation is also a charity partner of the B2Run running series in 2026. Participants can register as "Charity" starters and support Menschen für Menschen projects with an additional contribution of 5 euros per starting place. The full donation amount will go towards providing the population with clean drinking water in rural regions of Ethiopia, for which around 60,000 euros were already collected in 2025 as part of the B2Run company run series.
In addition, as part of the cooperation, Infront B2Run GmbH will plant one tree per registered team in the Kawo Koysha project area in southern Ethiopia. In 2025, 12,500 new trees could thus be planted. For the B2Run Aachen, this meant 237 trees for the 237 registered companies.
"The positive response from companies and participants shows how valuable joint running training and outdoor events are for health, motivation and the working atmosphere. So not only we as organizers, but also the runners are starting the 2026 B2Run season with a lot of energy and anticipation. We are particularly pleased to once again have the Menschen für Menschen Foundation as a strong charity partner at our side," says André Mühlbach, Site Manager B2Run Aachen.
For 2026, B2Run is aiming to plant 15,000 trees. "Menschen für Menschen" has been implementing holistic development projects in rural Ethiopia together with the local population for around 45 years. In doing so, it relies heavily on community action and participation, in line with the motto: Stand together and it will work. Further information at: www.b2run.de/charity
Climate protection contribution with CO2 certificates
This year, the B2Run running series is once again making an effective contribution to climate protection together with First Climate. The event-related CO₂ footprint is calculated and unavoidable emissions are offset against an equivalent climate benefit through the purchase of CO₂ certificates from a verified emissions reduction project. In the current running season, B2Run is supporting the Uganda Cookstoves project, which distributes energy-efficient cookstoves to households in Africa to reduce firewood consumption. In this way, the project effectively reduces emissions and contributes to reducing deforestation and improving living conditions. Further information: Climate protection contribution B2Run
