Every heartbeat counts - saving lives with pressure and a defibrillator - course for families
Every year, around 60,000 people in Germany die from acute heart disease. Many of those affected could still be alive if help had been provided quickly and efficiently. The first few minutes are particularly important in this situation to increase the chances of survival until the professional emergency services arrive. The course explains the medical background to sudden cardiac arrest and teaches the simple application of external cardiac massage and an automatic external defibrillator (AED). The course lasts 90 minutes.
