Loam building weeks - experience sustainable building with loam

Loam is one of the oldest building materials in the world - and at the same time highly topical. During the earth building weeks, we would like to work together with altbau plus e.V. to bring this natural building material to life for owners, people interested in building and those wanting to renovate in Aachen.

The earth building weeks are professionally accompanied and carried out by Dipl. Ing. Susanne Raulf. She is an architect and certified earth building specialist as well as a member of the Dachverband Lehm e.V. With her many years of experience in planning, consulting and the practical implementation of building projects with earth, she provides in-depth specialist knowledge about sustainable and healthy building.

Earth is impressive thanks to its outstanding physical building properties: it regulates humidity, improves the indoor climate, is fully recyclable and requires significantly less energy to produce than many conventional building materials. Clay earth offers a wide range of possible applications, particularly in the renovation of existing buildings.

There is also an exhibition on clay earth construction at the Klima plus advice center during the Clay Earth Building Weeks. This can be visited during regular opening hours and offers illustrative information, materials and examples of the use of earth in construction and renovation.
