Archimedean Party
The Archimedean Workshop is coming to an end for the 10th time. Children and young people spent three weeks constructing, sawing and painting. With the support of experts from the Bleiberger Fabrik, artists and scientists from RWTH and FH, they explored the material carbon concrete and considered how it can be used sustainably.
The result is artistic seating furniture that they would now like to present to all interested parties.
And that's not all:
Young children can pour their own concrete during the day (from 3 p.m.) with the Institute for Concrete Structures at RWTH: After a short drying time, the raw material is turned into colorful fridge magnets to take home.
The exploregiomobil school laboratory on wheels once again invites everyone to get to the bottom of physical phenomena and try out all kinds of things.
In the afternoon, selected scientists and researchers will take a closer look at concrete as a building material: What are its advantages and disadvantages? Where can it be used now and in the future?
And for the grown-ups? DJ Chris Brid will be playing for you from 5 pm and transforming the Katschhof into a beach party - delicious drinks and snacks will also be available.
Come along and bring the whole family! Admission is free.
