Fake news and A.I.

Artificial intelligence (A.I.) represents an unprecedented acceleration of almost all areas of human existence and has a growing influence on our daily lives. The media and information landscape is also increasingly shaped by algorithms and A.I. False reports and targeted manipulation are now commonplace. Political populism is based to a not insignificant extent on disinformation and lies. The workshop at IZM shows the possibilities and methods of using A.I. to manipulate public opinion and to exert targeted influence. The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of the dangers of using A.I. and to improve media skills in order to recognize and deal with fake news.
