Ukraine - the key to peace in Europe: geopolitical perspectives and future strategies

The Russian attack on Ukraine and the hybrid warfare against the West have shaken the international security order. Russia poses a significant threat to stability in Germany and Europe, with Ukraine playing a key role in securing the European peace architecture. Especially at a time when cooperation with the US has become more difficult, Germany and the EU have a central role to play in supporting Ukraine - humanitarian, military and political. In addition, support for civil society initiatives and the Ukrainian diaspora in Germany is of great importance. These not only contribute to building cultural bridges between Germany and Ukraine, but also play an important role in the fight against Russian disinformation. The discussion will focus on the question of how Germany and the EU can support Ukraine in its fight to protect peace on the European continent and the values of democracy.
