Future workshop on youth participation - develop ideas, have a say, help shape

On November 6, 2025, the City of Aachen is inviting 12 to 18-year-old Aachen residents and youth workers to the future workshop on youth participation at OT Talstraße. The aim is to gather the opinions and ideas of young people and multipliers: Which participation opportunities are already working well? Where do we need new approaches? And how can information about participation opportunities be communicated in a more youth-friendly way?

After a brief introduction, participants are given an overview of the topics at various stations and can then delve deeper into three workshops:

What participation formats already exist - and how can they be made more youth-friendly? This is about feedback, further development and concrete opportunities for co-decision!

Do you regularly have your say? Your opinion is needed - not just today!
What could continuous youth participation in Aachen look like? From regular meetings to new committees - this workshop collects ideas on how young people can have a long-term influence.

Stay informed! But how? Your ideas for advertising & information
Events and participation opportunities must reach young people. But what is the best way to do this? Together, we develop ideas for suitable channels, creative formats, giveaways and a youth-friendly website design

Finally, the results of all groups are presented in plenary. In this way, the young people's input will be directly incorporated into the further development of urban youth participation.
