Initiatives and networks

Richterich district conference

The Richterich district conference was established in September 2011 and currently consists of 22 associations and institutions that meet around four times a year. The aim of the district conference is to strengthen networking within the district, learn about each other, initiate joint activities and support campaigns in the district.

The district conference is constantly expanding with new members. Would you like to find out more about the work of the district conference or get involved? Then please contact Mr. Volker Spiertz, spokesperson for the district conference, on 02407/80634 or Volker.spiertz@t-online.de.

IG Horbacher Vereine and Unser Horbach e.V.

The associations in Horbach are jointly represented by the IG Horbacher Vereine. This strong cohesion initiates a large village festival every two years. This community was also the driving force behind Horbach's participation in the "Our village has a future" competition organized by the Aachen city region in 2011. Horbach took a fantastic second place in the northern region and held a village workshop in 2012.

Further information about Horbach, its clubs and activities can be found here: ig-horbach .de

The 'Unser Horbach' association financially supports projects for an active club life in Horbach as well as the beautification of the district. Further information can be found here: www.unser-horbach.de
