Process status

The planning committee and the Aachen-Laurensberg district council have decided to carry out early public participation in accordance with Section 3 (1) of the German Building Code. The consultation meetings took place on 12.01.2017 and 01.02.2017.

Explanations on planning

The land-use plan is to be partially revoked in order to reduce the expansion areas for the former ELSA company in the southern part of the plan area to the greatest extent possible. The aim is to strengthen the "Soers" habitat as a local recreation area. At the same time, a further procedure is planned to amend parts of the development plan. The use of the parking space south of the former cloth factory is to be secured.
