Process status

The planning committee and the Aachen-Laurensberg district council have decided to carry out early public participation in accordance with Section 3 (1) of the German Building Code.
The consultation meetings took place on 12.01.2017 and 01.02.2017.
Early public participation: 03.04.2017 - 21.04.2017 (exhibition of the plans) and 04.04.2017 (hearing date)

Explanations on planning

The development plan is to be amended and partially revoked in a further procedure in order to reduce the expansion areas for the former ELSA company in the southern part of the plan area to the greatest extent possible. The aim is to strengthen the "Soers" habitat as a local recreation area and at the same time to secure the parking space for the existing business in the former cloth factory.
