  • Planned use: FNP: Area for public use, BPlan: Area for the fire department, area for a recycling center, development facilities (part of the planned "main development bypass").

The planning committee passed the following resolution on April 26, 2018:

The planning committee takes note of the administration's report and instructs the administration to draw up a development plan for the construction project - Roermonder Strasse / Amstelbach. It also instructs the administration to amend the 1980 land use plan accordingly.

It resolves to carry out public participation in the urban land-use planning in accordance with Section 3 (1) BauGB and the Council's guidelines in sections III, 1 and 2.

The planning, including a presentation of the expected effects, will be on display for public inspection in the foyer of the Aachen-Richterich district office, Roermonder Straße 559, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., from 4 June 2018 to 29 June 2018. The public hearing for citizens will take place on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the meeting room at Schloss Schönau, Schönauer Straße 20.

Explanations on planning

The aim of the planning is to build a new equipment depot for the Aachen-Richterich volunteer fire department, a recycling center for the northern area of Aachen and the necessary development (part of the "main development bypass"). In the 1980 land use plan, it is necessary to change the existing zoning from agricultural land to land for public use.

The existing plans for the fire department and the main development have been expanded to include planning for the recycling center, so that an overall view of the area can be taken. A section of the planned Aachen-Herzogenrath high-speed cycle path is also located within the planning area.
