By resolution of the planning committee on 30.09.2010, the administration was instructed to put the development plan no. 925 on public display from 08.11. - 10.12.2010.

Explanations on planning

With a framework concept for an orderly and urbanistically desirable settlement development for residential construction in Aachen's southern district, basic urban planning and natural criteria for the preservation or partial redensification of individual settlement areas were developed.

The southern district was also examined to determine how urgently the use of planning law instruments is required in the individual settlement areas. On the basis of this investigation, the decision was made to draw up a plan for the Martelenberger Weg / Ronheider Weg area.

The following urban development goals are to be achieved:

  • Safeguarding the orderly urban structure of the existing character
  • Securing the villa-like development on spacious plots of land
  • Safeguarding the existing characteristic greenery
  • Moderate control of further structural development
