The planning committee and the Aachen-Mitte district council have decided to carry out early public participation in accordance with Section 3 (1) of the German Building Code.

Explanations on planning

A design competition was held for the site of the former school on Franzstrasse. The resulting urban development concept envisages an ensemble of three residential buildings that extend from the edge of the block into the inner courtyard. The aim is to create attractive living space and open spaces for different user groups in the inner-city district after the demolition of the school buildings and to create planning law for this.
