Hiking in Eilendorf

Eilendorf is surrounded by a variety of landscapes. The industrial estate to the south is kept at a distance by meadows and hedges. To the north, we look down on Aachen and across the plain to the Alsdorf spoil tips. Eilendorf has something! This realization brought together a small but energetic group of Eilendorf citizens as part of the 2011 Future Workshop. They wanted to open up and design the immediate surroundings of the district for hikers and link it to the neighboring villages. As a first step, an approx. 12 km long circular trail around Eilendorf was opened in 2013. In recent years, new sections of trail have been opened south of Hüls cemetery and between Forster Straße, Fringsgraben and the Vennbahnweg. The "Eilendorf circular hiking trail" working group of the Eilendorf Future Workshop encourages all hikers to experience the route for themselves. It is looking forward to suggestions and requests.
