06/2021: National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility (NaKoMo): Presentation of the road safety action plan of the city of Aachen

NaKoMo is the National Competence Network for Sustainable Mobility. At the heart of the network are the regular workshops on current mobility topics and the NaKoMo annual conference. Representatives from the federal government, federal states and local authorities present innovative mobility solutions and discuss the associated challenges.

The City of Aachen was invited to report on the topic of "Communicating pedestrian traffic with politicians and stakeholders" as part of the NaKoMo workshop "Redistribution of public space" on 10.06.2021. The City of Aachen gladly accepted the invitation.

  • City center concept 2022,
  • Design manual of the city of Aachen,
  • Network planning, e.g. cycle priority route network, premium footpath network, consideration of green planning issues, public transport network, motorized private transport network,
  • Accompanying communicative public relations work, e.g. district walks, European Mobility Week, excursions with Gips e.V,
  • Accompanying informative public relations work, such as the "AChtsam unterwegs" series of road safety motifs.
