In designated areas with high parking pressure, it is mandatory to buy a parking ticket for parking. This can be done at the ticket machines or via the EasyPark app.
There are two different fare zones in Aachen. The distinction between fare zones 1 and 2 can be seen on this map.

Parking fees and special regulations
All streets within the Alleenring and on the Alleenring as well as Zollamtstraße, Hackländerstraße, Friedlandstraße and lower Burtscheider Straßen belong to tariff zone I. Parking tickets must be purchased here from Monday to Saturday between 9 am and 9 pm. The tariff is three euros per hour or part thereof. The maximum parking time is four hours.
All other streets in the city area with resident parking zones as well as other marked areas outside the resident parking zones belong to tariff zone II. Here, parking ticket machines must be used from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. The parking tariff is one euro for the first 40 minutes ("minimum entry") and 50 cents for each additional 20 minutes or part thereof. There is no maximum parking time in tariff zone II.
Day tickets are offered in the dark gray resident parking zones of tariff zone II:
- 5 Euro in parking zone East 2
- 6 euros in parking zones E2, BU2, Ost 3 and in the Kleverstraße parking lot in Burtscheid
- 8 euros in parking zones V, U and East 1
Different regulations apply to the following parking zones and parking spaces, which are displayed on the machines:
- In the residents' parking zones E, K, N, O, T, V and Z, service hours apply from Monday to Saturday until 9 pm.
- There is no charge for parking in zone KU on Saturdays.
- Parking at the Vaals-Grenze parking lot is also subject to a charge on Sundays and public holidays.
Cell phone parking with "EasyPark"
In Aachen, drivers can pay the short-term parking tariffs in all residents' parking zones using the EasyPark-App mobile app.

To avoid paying additional service fees for each parking process, you must select the "EasyPark Lokal Aachen" tariff. How to do this is explained on the EasyPark homepage. We have also provided a step-by-step guide to activation to help you.

Missing or expired parking ticket?
