Additional bicycle racks are often required at events to provide parking spaces for visitors arriving by bike. Mobile bicycle racks are available, especially for temporary requirements or short-term parking spaces. The City of Aachen offers up to 90 mobile bike racks for hire free of charge. These can be borrowed and used free of charge by the event organizers in the appropriate number (depending on the type, size and available space of the event). The mobile bike racks consist of modules of 3 racks each, which can be folded together and combined with other modules. The modules are not anchored to the ground.

Who is the offer aimed at?
The offer is aimed at event organizers and private individuals who organize events of all types and sizes in the city of Aachen and need additional bicycle parking facilities for their visitors.
What do the mobile bike racks cost?
The mobile bike racks can be used free of charge by the organizers. However, organizers must organize the transport themselves (pick up and drop off the racks) and take special permits into account if necessary. A ready-made poster may also be used free of charge.

Mon-Fri 8:30-16:30 - Pick up the bike racks.
Two people and a trailer/large van are required. You can use XL Transporter of the municipal car sharing directly in front of our warehouse in Zollamtstr. 10 (suitable for 24 hangers). The rental contract should be signed on site. - Set up the bike racks.
Unfold the racks and place them on a flat surface. You can use our free poster with your name and logo on the bracket to draw attention to the usage period. We will send you the customized poster digitally. The poster is printed and affixed by the organizers.
Note: The installation of hangers in public areas requires a special permit. - Return the hangers.
Damage or loss must be compensated by the borrower(s).
