Parking garages in the center
On the mobility dashboard you can see how many free parking spaces are available in the parking garages.
Park&Ride on the outskirts
Relaxed parking on the outskirts of the city and a bus ride into town. For only 5 euros. For up to 5 people.
Short-term parking in the city center on the roadside
Within the Alleenring, visitors are permitted to park on the roadside for a maximum of one hour between 9 am and 9 pm. This costs 3 euros. Around the city center, parking costs 1 euro for the first 40 minutes and 50 cents for every additional 20 minutes. In some areas, day tickets between 5 and 8 euros can be purchased.

Special regulation for electric vehicles
To ensure that charging stations are only used by electric vehicles that need to charge for longer, the regulation was introduced that electric vehicles may park in public parking spaces for a maximum of 2 hours free of charge with a parking disc during the operating hours of the parking ticket machines. This applies to vehicles with a German e-license plate. Vehicles with foreign license plates require a vignette.
The conditions of use at public charging stations are determined by the respective operators. The maximum permitted charging time is signposted at the charging stations: During the specified times: Fast charging 1 h, normal charging 2 h.
Resident parking
There are 28 resident parking zones in the center of Aachen. More are being planned. Residents can apply for a permit for their car within the zone in which they live. Tradespeople, family carers and nursing staff can also obtain a flat-rate permit. Visitors who want to park there with a car must buy a parking ticket - online or at a machine.
Rental of parking spaces
There are special areas for parking at Klosterplatz and Blücherplatz. The monthly parking fee is 100 euros at Klosterplatz and 50 euros at Blücherplatz. There is a waiting list for the parking spaces at Blücherplatz, which currently has a waiting period of around one year.
