From wood to sheet metal - sometimes gentle, sometimes cheeky

The project orchestra of the music school of the city of Aachen

The project orchestra invites pupils from the music school aged 10 and up to adults to join in. External pupils are also welcome. Registration is not required!

All instruments are welcome. Everything that is fun is played - well-known classics as well as pop and movie music.

We rehearse on two Saturdays plus a dress rehearsal right before the concert, all on a voluntary basis of course! There are parts for every level. The pieces are prepared in the instrumental lessons so that the rehearsal can be fun straight away.

The teachers of the participating students also play along.

Under the overall direction of Hanna Gründer, this creates a colorful large ensemble of strings, woodwinds and brass - often supported by percussion and keyboards. In our concerts, we take the audience on an exciting journey through the rich world of music.

The orchestra sometimes gives two concerts a year in various churches in Aachen and other venues.
