Offers for secondary schools
Classroom teaching
We also offer class lessons in secondary schools. There is a choice between the wind class and the string class model. Both types of lessons accompany the children in the 5th and 6th grade, so that a foundation is laid for further instrumental lessons at the music school and for making music in an ensemble. The joy of making music, experiencing music in the community and strengthening self-esteem are at the heart of this musical support. Further added value results from the link with music lessons at school and the combination of theory and practice of music.
Lessons take place as part of the regular timetable or directly after school lessons. No previous knowledge of the instrument is required for either type of lesson.

The revolving door model
Music lessons integrated into the school day
With the revolving door, teachers from the music school come to the secondary school to give instrumental lessons on site. The instrumental lessons take place in the mornings and are integrated into the regular timetable, making it easier to coordinate long school hours, hobbies, friends and family.
In the revolving door model, your child receives their instrumental or singing lessons on the premises of their school one morning a week. They are released from their regular lessons for this period. So that this does not affect the same period every week, the timetable for instrumental or singing lessons rotates.
Example of the procedure:
- Week: Monday, 9h Student A
- Week: Monday, 9.30h Pupils A
- Week: Monday, 10h Student A
- etc.
Duration: weekly lessons of 30 minutes each
Costs: see music school fee schedule, individual lessons 30 minutes www.musikschule-stadtaachen.de
Special features: A revolving door is only opened if there are four or more interested children per subject.
