Classroom teaching: The sounding classroom
We make the classroom resound! Between math and German lessons, the class community transforms into a choir or orchestra. The children experience music at first hand and experience themselves as creative people. Musical class lessons enrich primary school life through music and performances at school festivals and give every child the chance to participate culturally. No previous knowledge is required in any of the subjects.
Target group: from year 1
Group size: up to class size, in the morning, but also possible in the OGS as an AG
Duration: one or two school years, weekly 45-minute lessons per group
Class lessons are possible in the subjects listed below:
Choir (JeKisS)
The choir works on seasonal songs, folk songs, pop songs, well-known and new songs. Singing is combined with movement so that the lyrics, but also the volume and melody sequence, can be better remembered. It is possible to book individual choir lessons, as well as the option of involving the whole school, including the teachers, and transforming the school into a singing school according to the JeKisS principle (Every child has their own voice).
Body percussion
Body percussion involves drumming on your own body, stamping your feet, clapping, snapping and much more. The individual rhythmic figures are easy to learn, so that the class can get into the groove after just a short time. Body percussion is very popular - especially with children. It is also ideal for elementary rhythm training.
Recorder
Recorder lessons also include familiar and new songs. However, these are played on the recorder and supplemented by singing and elements of body percussion. At the same time, music theory principles are learned in a playful way, such as recognizing rhythm or reading music. Last but not least, a sound instrumental playing technique is taught and practiced.
Guitar
The group plays classical and traditional music as well as world music on the acoustic guitar. While playing, the children learn the basics of music theory. However, the focus is on learning a sound guitar playing technique and, above all, the joy of playing, the experience in the group and the strengthening of self-esteem through positive experiences.
String instruments
It starts in the 2nd school year! All children are given the opportunity to learn a string instrument. They can choose between the following instruments: Violin (violin) - Viola (viola) - Violoncello (cello) - Double bass. Songs are played that children enjoy and come from different genres and eras. In the string class, children's hearing and motor skills are trained in particular. It also strengthens the sense of togetherness in the class.
Special features:
Target group: from year 2
Duration: 2 years, weekly lesson unit 2 x 60 minutesThe JeKits program
Jedem Kind ein Instrument, Tanzen oder Singen
JeKits (Jedem Kind ein Instrument, Tanzen oder Singen) is a state-funded music program.
JeKits is an innovative concept for promoting musical education and creativity in children. It offers a platform that enables children to come into contact with music in a playful way and develop their skills. Through various programs and materials, children are encouraged to explore and express their own musical ideas. JeKits places great emphasis on individual support and the joy of making music, which helps to strengthen children's self-confidence and social skills.
Jekits places particular emphasis on the introduction of instruments in children's musical education. By using different instruments, such as the piano, guitar, drums or wind instruments, the children are given the opportunity to experience the diversity of music at first hand. The program not only promotes technical understanding of the instruments, but also creative play and improvisation. Children learn how to express their own musical ideas through instruments. Teamwork is also encouraged when they make music in groups and work on pieces together. Through the playful use of instruments, interest in music is awakened and the joy of making music is strengthened. Jekits thus creates a valuable basis for musical development and an understanding of different musical styles and cultures.
