JuSi - A cooperation between the Aachen Music School and the Aachen Symphony Orchestra
The JuSi sees itself as a meeting place for young people and young adults from the Aachen region who are enthusiastic about classical music and want to perform symphonic repertoire at an advanced level under professional guidance.
The JuSi was founded in 1996 as an initiative of the Aachen Symphony Orchestra and is now jointly sponsored by the music school and Theater Aachen.
In its work, the JuSi can draw on the expertise and support of its experienced colleagues as part of a "Tutti pro" sponsorship with the Aachen Symphony Orchestra.
Regular concert visits to the Aachen Symphony Orchestra provide stimulation and inspiration.
Rehearsal camps and orchestra trips also allow the orchestra members to grow together as a community beyond making music together.
Alexander Scherf has conducted the JuSi since 2024.
Interested instrumentalists aged 13 and over and young adults with orchestral experience are cordially invited to "try it out" at an orchestra rehearsal on Mondays from 17:00 to 19:00 in the orchestra rehearsal room.
