Bookcases in Aachen

There are now publicly accessible bookcases in various locations in the city of Aachen.

A bookcase can usually hold around 250 books, and the one at Neumarkt in the Frankenberger Viertel can hold up to 420 books. And the idea behind the bookcases is very simple: people can put books they have read in the cupboard and come across other, as yet unknown books there and take them with them. The bookcases live from the coming and going of the books.
