With the budget release of the City of Aachen by the district government of Cologne, the funding has been officially released so that the City of Aachen can once again process applications and issue funding notices. The processing of applications that have already been submitted will begin shortly.
If you are planning a measure for which you would like to receive funding from the City of Aachen, please note: The measure may not be started before the application has been submitted!

However, all preparations for the implementation of your planned measure are possible.

The new funding guideline "Energy-saving measures in buildings" is now available. The overview of the funded measures has also been updated accordingly and is available for download.

The municipal funding "Energy-saving measures in buildings" has been adapted to the new federal funding framework (BEG EM). Where possible, the two funding pots should not be mutually exclusive and citizens should be given the opportunity to combine funding.

Funding in the area of building technology has been changed accordingly and funding has been increased for measures that are not already highly subsidized via the BEG EM.

With the revision of the funding guideline, the city of Aachen is therefore focusing on building insulation. The use of sustainable insulation materials is particularly highly subsidized with a funding rate of €50/m², while petroleum-based insulation materials are now excluded from funding. The change in funding towards sustainability is also reflected in the decision to only fund conventional insulation materials without the corresponding proof of sustainability until 31.12.2026.
