Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

The entire city is on the way to shaping a sustainable society of tomorrow, whether on a large or small scale. Educational institutions are key places to experience sustainability and try out new things. Education for sustainable development refers to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), looks for solutions and makes the future tangible, true to the motto "Think globally - do it locally!"

ESD training courses

"Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD for short) enables people to make responsible decisions for a good life together, more justice and a healthy planet. The further training of multipliers in the field of ESD is an important concern for us in the Climate and Environment department.

Our training courses are aimed in particular at educational staff from nurseries, primary and secondary schools, but also at multipliers and other interested parties.
