Social conference

3rd social conference on 07.09.2018

The Social Conference is a specialist forum for urban social development in which experts from administration, politics and associations discuss the social development of the city as a whole with their member associations as well as new ideas for planning and day-to-day work. The third and most recent conference took place on 07.09.2018.

The Social Conference is dedicated to current demographic and social developments in Aachen and this year, for the first time, integrated contributions "from outside". Guests from practice and academia were invited to present reports from other municipalities and the latest research findings on all topics of the conference. The conference workshops covered the core topics of "Facets of poverty", "Education, work, qualification and participation", "Housing and living environment" and "Demographic change".
