Calendar of events

The range of events for the (prospective) 60-plus generation is diverse and confusing. That's why the Senior Citizens' Council has compiled selected events for you in an online calendar. Here you can filter by date, interest and district. The compilation of the dates is without guarantee. For further information, please get in touch with the contacts listed for each event.

Further information on use and an optional installation description for your smartphone can be found in the 60plus calendar user guide.

Rickshaw

Fancy a leisurely ride through Aachen in a rickshaw? Starting in Copenhagen, the idea has spread and is also in Aachen under the motto "Everyone has a right to wind in their hair". Interested? Then take a look at the YouTube video "Cycling without age" from the Diocese of Trier. Got the urge? You can get more information at the Gut! Branderhof.

The electrically assisted Burtscheid rickshaw not only gives citizens with limited mobility the opportunity to be transported comfortably from home to local amenities (shops, pharmacies, doctors) and to social and cultural events in the district within Burtscheid (including Frankenberger Viertel and Beverau). Special trips are also possible with restrictions. The rickshaw will be happy to take you from May to October.

A rickshaw project will also soon be launched in Eilendorf and is intended to extend the reach of many people as a strolling model. As things stand, however, the financing has not yet been clarified.
