Visiting service for parents of newborns

Small baby hands holding the hands of a parent.

Congratulations!
The City of Aachen congratulates new parents on their new arrival and warmly welcomes the newborn. As a welcome gift, parents can request the "Kinderkrams" baby welcome pack from the visiting service for parents of newborns. This contains small gifts and a parent's guide with lots of information on services, advice and support options for families and children in Aachen.

Having a baby is wonderful.
At the same time, being a parent means round-the-clock responsibility, and parents are often pushed to their limits.

  • Perhaps they are exhausted and need relief?
  • Perhaps they first have to grow into their new role as parents and feel insecure?
  • Perhaps you are a single parent and therefore particularly challenged?
  • Perhaps they don't know what support options are available for families in Aachen?
  • Perhaps they have not lived in our city for long and have not yet been able to make many contacts?
  • Perhaps they are worried about childcare?
  • Maybe ...?

The "Visiting service for parents of newborns" is available to answer all these questions, because the city of Aachen wants to offer families support right from the start. You should feel that you and your child and children are in good hands in our city and find support when you need it. If necessary, the visiting service will also find the right support service for you and offer to accompany you to it.
