New guideline for child day care
At its meeting on June 17, 2020, the Aachen City Council adopted amendments to the guidelines of the City of Aachen on funding in child day care and the granting of ongoing cash benefits to child day carers in accordance with Section 23 (1) and (2) of SGB VIII, valid from August 1, 2020.
Here are the most important changes
Ongoing cash benefit for indirect educational and childcare work
The amount of ongoing benefits is calculated on the basis of the agreed weekly childcare time plus 1 hour per week for educational and childcare work. These are taken into account when calculating the monthly amount of childcare. ((agreed weekly care time + 1 hour of educational and care work) * 4.33 weeks). The resulting hours are multiplied by the hourly rates for the material costs and the recognition amount
Indexation of the current cash benefit
The current cash benefit in accordance with sections 2.2.2.1 - 2.2.2.3 and the settling-in allowance in accordance with section 2.1 will in future be adjusted annually on August 1st in analogous application of the provisions of § 37 KiBiz.
The amount of the one-off cash benefit is rounded up to full euros.
Settlement of social security contributions
The deadline for submitting proof of contributions paid in a calendar year for accident insurance, old-age insurance and health and long-term care insurance is extended from July 31 of the following year to December 31 of the following year.
