Simple language

Plain language makes difficult information easier to understand. We want to enable many people to participate better in social life with our range of services in plain language.

Today, the Internet is the most important place to find information. However, this is not easy for everyone. It's not just people with reading problems who often have difficulties. With the help of plain language, content on specialist topics is clearly structured and difficult terms are simply explained.

In cooperation with Aachen University of Applied Sciences, the city of Aachen supported a project to develop an AI translator. Students, graduates and professors from Aachen University of Applied Sciences developed the "Fair Text" translation tool together with the start-up "laizee.ai". Since then, the City of Aachen's online editorial team has been working continuously with the start-up to make information more accessible to everyone.
